The intangible connections between a person and a place they love or call home are some of the most poignant and meaningful relationships that can be formed in a lifetime. The essence of community in an area is equally as important and vital to well-being and a sense of rootedness within life. This essence of community is superbly captured within Judith Parrott's 'Rothesay: A Place on an Island', the fourth piece within Parrott's 'Place Matters' series.

The below excerpt forms part of a wider soundscape produced for the exhibition 'Rothesay: A Place on an Island', funded through the Scottish Arts Council pARTners programme. Listen below to experience the spirit of Rothesay!
