My Heart is in the Highlands

I came to Scotland from Mexico in 2017 to attend an English course.

I met a Highlander and fell in love.

My visa expired and I had to return to Mexico where, in 2018, I married my Highlander.

We decided to make our lives in Ross-shire but I had to stay alone in the USA for 6 months away from my new family, friends and husband whilst we applied for my visa.

It was a very difficult time and I missed my new home very much. The Highlands were always on my mind and reading Robert Burns helped me through those times.
