I don't know if you know an author called Mollie Hunter. She was a huge part of my children's childhood but most of her books are out of print!
She wrote 'The Kelpie's Pearls', a great story about the Loch and kelpies.
Also there was an Iona McNichol, again out of print. Lots of great Inverness stories including one about St. Columba's font stone here in our garden and finally the good St. Columba and the monster banishing!
