The coast of North Sutherland is truly stunning. I wanted to show the place that the land meets the ocean and give a feeling of cliffs, the waves, and the plants and animals there. The colours and shapes in the stone in the cliffs amaze me, with layers representing millions of years.
Making shells in embroidery was a bit of trial and error, with ideas from various places and thoughts from my fellow stitchers. A great experience, and inspiring me to do some more creative crafts for relaxation!
