To break down the Spirit of the Highlands for me and my family...
I came to Scotland 15 years ago to work in the hospitality trade. I then started a family...we have now got 6 children!
The Highlands is our home. The air, the mountains, the lochs are all so magical. It goes without saying it's the best place to live in the whole world!
The Highlands embraced me with a warm hug 15 years ago and told me to make this place my home. So welcoming then and still is to this day to me and my young family.
Although we often forget where we live, we only need to open are eyes again to realise how lucky we are to live in the beautiful Highlands.
Now to talk a little bit about the spirit in the Highlands.
I personally find that you can feel the spirit everyday from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep. It lives in us all and allows us to enjoy our surroundings. It lets us know when we need to and reminds us how lucky we are!
I can go on and on but will keep it at this - I hope you enjoy your time in the Highlands. I did and I made it my home. You should too. Be a brave heart!
