A Warm Welcome

“... based on the sentiment ‘it’s not where you’re from, its where you’re at...’ a snail carries his home on his back.

I feel a bit like a snail as I don’t have firm roots anywhere but I was delighted to be welcomed to the Highlands with this sentiment more than 10 years ago.  

I have come to believe a warm welcome awaits anyone coming to the Highlands in the right frame of mind.  I will never be a Highlander as I do not share their proud history but I hope to be a friend to Highlanders rather than an invader!”
