A Fine Lady

By Gilly Thomson

Isabel Moore lived on the Isle of Skye for more than 60 years in a big house near Ardvasar. Yet she was known and loved by many folk throughout the Island, and beyond, because she was interested in anyone and everyone. For many years she was on the Board of several different Charities that helped the elderly, young carers and affordable local housing. Although she had a privileged upbringing, she valued the qualities of any individual and she was very generous in helping others. Caring for others was her default, as became apparent in her last years living in An Acarsaid Home in Broadford, where the staff were very fond of her. She has to be remembered for her love of Tormore and the Isle of Skye.
